I calculated this horary for a very small and insignificant question. A question “just because I was interested”. On the surface the question appeared to be answered in a harmless and satisfying way. It was when I took a look at the fixed stars near significators that I was shocked since they all point towards one particular thing which wasn’t at all harmless and satisfying.

The fixed stars in question:
Mirach [conjunct Moon]
Alshat [conjunct Mercury]
Bos [conjunct Mercury]
Giedi [conjunct Mercury]
Oculus [conjunct Mercury]
Denebola [conjunct Saturn]
Procyon [conjunct Saturn]

I’ve always been very positive about the value of fixed stars in horary astrology as often a fixed star aspecting one of the significators ‘casts the die’ so to speak. The planets line it up, fixed stars put the finger in the right spot. The chart posted contains conflicting information and therefor I cannot pass judgement. Only time will tell if the fixed stars would overrule the significator aspects.

I’m on standby duty during christmas week this year and I was already called 3 times in two days. I wondered when it was going to stop. So I asked astrology “Will I get another standby call this week?”.

Another standby call?

Another standby call?

While classical planets would not show much, including Neptune, Uranus and Pluto it does uncover something I was staring at yesterday. At first with the classical planets I thought I’d be safe, but then I noticed the opposition between Saturn and Uranus. The only thing I could utter was “Oeh… oh noes”.

To be more specific: the ASC/DESC axis was going to aspect these planets real soon. If you count from Saturn that would be around 8 hours after this chart was cast (21.42). The time of this chart is somewhere near 11pm in the evening, and I got the next call 8am the next day. Talk about on the money! Definite proof for me you should never loose track of the transsaturnal planets when casting a horary. Uranus is also the ruler of Aquarius (residing on the cusp of the house of work) and it stands for new technologies (IT). Also: Saturn and Virgo is actually a very good description of myself since I’m a Capricorn ASC/ Sun in Virgo.

I’ve actually seen this quite often: if the time frame is really small towards the answer of the question the ASC/DESC axis becomes important. Next to the moon it seems to be a good indicator for time in hours.
